Dee: We're Engaged :)

Christmas Eve 2008 he finally proposed!

Tuesday the 23rd was our 1 year and 10 months. Zack asked me if I wanted to go on a date Wednesday and I said yeah, but I wasn't sure if many restaurants were open on Christmas Eve. He decided to take me to Olive Garden and then go to a friends house to get in the hot tub (the friend lives in England and wasn't going to be there.) I kept asking him why he wanted to go to the hot tub that whole week because it was cold outside and he kept saying "thats why its a HOT TUB baby."

Christmas Eve is finally here and we got ready to go eat, when we get to Olive Garden we end up having to wait a little while (like usual), and Jeremy and Randi end up showing up there too. We talked to them while we waited to be seated. After Olive Garden we made our way to Billy's, but we had to run by Zack's house and get his swim trucks first because he forgot them. As we made our way there, I detoured Zacks plans because I had been wanting guitar hero all day and I asked him if he would just stop by Adams house really quick since we were right there. After that, we headed to Billy's. On the way there, again I detoured the night, I had to pee so bad but I tried to hold it till we got there. Zack knew if I had to pee when we got there that I would ruin everything so he turned around and to me back to the gas station (plus he had to get fuel.)

FINALLY, after all that detouring we got there! There was a chain going across the driveway so no one could go up it and Zack got out and told me that "Greg said the key was on the dock to unlock it." I was like um, okay. There usually isn't a key to unlock the chain, but I figured maybe they changed the chain. We get on the dock and of course i'm looking for the key, but I couldn't find it!

I looked at Zack and asked him where it was and at that moment I saw a light out of the corner of my eye. I turned around to look and I was in SHOCK. It said "Will You Marry Me" in lights! I turned back around because I saw another light and he was on one knee with a LIGHT UP ring box and he asked me to marry him!!! :) it was the most amazing thing ever and I started to cry for a little bit.

After a few minutes I began to ask him how he did all of this. He said "well I kinda had some help" and he yelled for Lance and Lauren to come out! haha it was so sweet. They were the ones who had turned the lights on :) We all visited for a little while and then Lance and Lauren left. Zack and I sat on the dock looking at the stars talking and enjoying the warm weather for about 30 minutes, then it was time to go call everyone about the exciting news!!

I fell in love all over again that night, it was the most romantic thing ever! I love him so much :)
